Wilma Keyes was an art educator, author, and professor at the University of Connecticut for many years.

Wilbur L. Cross (1862-1948) was born in Mansfield. He taught at Yale before becoming Governor of Connecticut from 1931-1939. He was a major supporter of the Connecticut State College (UConn).

Author once lived and worked in Mansfield. Book received 1955 by the great-grandchildren of the author. At the back is an 1818 letter from the author to his (second) wife regarding moving to New York, approximately one year after being dismissed…
